DISGUSTING FACTS:
This is an actual picture of tap water in central Florida in 2011. “You can’t cook with it, you can’t clean with it, you can’t bathe with it,’’ Pasco County Commissioner Jack Mariano told the PSC.

It was the summer of 2007. Business owners throughout the Fenton Business Center in Chula Vista's Eastlake neighborhood reported that their tap water suddenly appeared yellow. Others said green. They all agreed the water was foul, so gross some were embarrassed to have customers use their restrooms. A sewage pipe was connected to a drinking water pipe by mistake.

DISGUSTING FACTS:
Arsenic is colorless, tasteless, and odorless and 80 percent of Americans are drinking water with low levels of Arsenic! 2% are drinking water with elevated levels of Arsenic - are you or your family in that 2%?

A study by the National Academy of Sciences in 1999 reported that arsenic is linked to bladder, lung and skin cancer, as well as kidney and liver cancer. It also harms the central and peripheral nervous systems, heart and blood vessels, and causes serious skin problems. Ever wonder why there is so much cancer?

You won't see hexavalent chromium in your water either - the cancer causing chemical made famous by the Erin Brockovich movie. It is estimated that 42 states have contaminated water.

Reverse Osmosis is the process that purifies the water and ozonation is a process used to kill germs.

WHY NOT USE A CHEAP BRITA TYPE WATER FILTER?
Brita type filters are simply carbon filters that remove some particles and some chlorine, but do not remove calcium and many other dissolved solids that are bad for you (carcinogens).

These filters don't have an RO Membrane filter that filters at the molecular level to get rid of all the nasties in your tap or well water.

These filters are better than nothing in most cases, but besides not getting super pure water, the cost per gallon of water is much higher than with RO systems.

WHAT IS THE COST OF RO OPERATION?
One of the big benefits of Reverse Osmosis over other water purification methods such as distillation, is it's low cost of operation. Most RO systems do not use electricity. They are powered by inlet water pressure and the cost to operate can be measured in waste water - about 4 to 6 gallons for each gallon of RO water produced.

It might cost 5 to 15 cents per gallon of RO water produced. This is based upon the cost of wasted water and the replacement of filters - roughly $65/year depending upon model & water usage.

USE RO WATER FOR EVERYTHING?
Because RO water is very pure, you can use it everywhere. You can use RO water in place of distilled water - car battery, radiator, window washer, electric iron, coffee maker, refrigerator ice maker (stop buying expensive refrigerator carbon filters) , cooking, and, of course, drinking.

You won't get water spots or that white crusty buildup from RO water because it is pure!
